From Mexican tacos and BBQ meats, to corn dogs and hearty bowls piled high with mac and cheese, there’s certainly enough food at Phoenix Raceway to keep you from going hungry!
If you’re heading to a race and wondering what to eat at Phoenix Raceway, this food and drink guide has you covered. We’ve detailed all the food and drink stands spotted around the outer track, in the grandstand seating areas, and in the Infield.
Keep in mind, this list may not be all-encompassing as we could have missed a few vendors. Food vendors can also rotate each year. However, this guide should at least give you a good idea of what to expect when it comes to eating and drinking at Phoenix Raceway.
Being perfectly candid, we did not do that great of a job with our food selections. We need another visit for redemption! In this guide, we also note which foods we actually tried vs. which food and drink stands were spotted.
Let’s dig in!
Outer Track Foods
These are all the food vendors located around the track outside of the grandstands (mostly towards the main entrance area) and I think this is probably where you’re going to find the best food at the Raceway!
Flaco’s
While we didn’t get to try anything from this Mexican food stand, this is probably the first place we’ll be going when we’re back at Phoenix Raceway. All of the plates of food we saw from people walking by looked pretty good! The nachos were loaded and the burritos looked sizable.
What to Get
- Nachos
- Street Tacos
- Quesadillas
- Burritos
- Esquite (corn in a cup)

Maggs Mac Shack
This food stand serves a ton of different loaded mac and cheese bowls, which look super hearty.
What to Get
- Green chili mac
- Pulled pork mac
- Lobster mac
- Bacon mac
- Buffalo chicken mac
Teriyaki Rice Bowl
Moving along to a more Asian/tropical vibe is the Teriyaki Rice Bowl stand. We saw someone walk by with a rice bowl and thought it looked pretty decent in size. It’s also one of the more “healthier” options in terms of food at the track.
What to Get
- Teriyaki chicken rice bowl
- Teriyaki steak rice bowl
- Spicy garlic rice bowl
- Lemonade

Dole Whip
Perfect for those hot days at Phoenix Raceway is a cold pineapple Dole Whip! We’ve had Dole Whip before on Oahu and it’s definitely a refreshing and tasty treat. We almost snagged one of these on the way out but for the price ($13.50), it was a bit much for us.
West Coast Weenies
This stand is definitely going to provide your quintessential race day food! I wish we would have snagged a footlong corndog here.
What to Get
- Hot dogs
- Curly fries
- Corn dogs (footlong and regular)
- Grilled sausages
- Lemonade

Just Cheezen
If you want cheese but don’t want to go the mac and cheese route, Just Cheezen is a cheesy sandwich alternative.
What to Get
- Grilled cheese sandos with or without different meat
- Tater tots
- Tomato soup
Just Mac’n
Mac and cheese – but make it extra! Here, you’ll find mac and cheese piled into a cone and topped with offbeat items like Flaming Hot Cheetos or pulled pork and bacon.

Sidekicks
If you’re into fair-style fried desserts, this is the stand to visit!
What to Get
- Funnel cakes topped with items like powdered sugar, Oreos, banana Nutella, and strawberries and cream
- Deep-fried goodies like Oreos, Twinkies
Rudy’s BBQ & Huss Beer Garden
We didn’t get to peek at the menu here, but Rudy’s is a local Arizona BBQ restaurant serving Texas-style BBQ at the Huss Brewing Beer Garden.

Grandstand Foods
There are several food stands throughout the different levels in the grandstands, which to us, were the least appealing of all the food choices at the Raceway.
Chicken Wraps
I forgot to actually take a picture of the name of this stand, so we’ll just call it “Chicken Wraps” since that’s primarily what they serve!
What to Get
- Chicken Caesar wraps
- Chicken ranch wraps
- Buffalo chicken wraps
- Drinks (here, you can see they have a great $5.00 deal for cans of Busch or Busch Light beer, which tend to sell out rather quickly around the track. Get ’em early!)

In a moment of hanger, we went to this stand to get a buffalo chicken wrap and ended up with a chicken Caesar wrap (even after asking twice for a buffalo wrap). The tortilla was a little stale and we were overall not very impressed with this one.
Rating: 4/10 (skip!)

Streets of New York
This stand features foods from another local Phoenix restaurant chain with pizzas, wings, and salads. In all honesty, a guy sitting near us had a pepperoni pizza that looked mighty good in the face of our sad chicken wrap!
What to Get
- Combo, pepperoni, or cheese pizzas
- Chicken wings
- Garden or antipasto salads
- Drinks

Infield Food Selection
We had Infield Experience passes and were excited to see what kind of food options were available to us that weren’t around the rest of the track. Spoiler – it wasn’t very exciting!
Read about our entire Infield Experience in this post.
Habit Burger
Nothing too crazy here, but this is probably the best place at the track to get a hamburger or cheeseburger. Habit Burger is generally pretty solid.

Busch Light Beer Garden
The menu at the Busch Light Beer Garden had typical racetrack foods, with one exception being the Sonoran PB&J Burger, which is an odd Arizonan creation.
What to Get
- Sonoran PB&J Burger
- Chicken tenders & fries
- Cheeseburger & fries
- Popcorn
- Corn dogs & hot dogs
- Fries
- Drinks (it was here that we discovered that sweet Busch beer deal!)

We ended up getting one of the corn dogs at the beer garden to go along with our Busch beers and it was the tastiest thing we ate at the track (we really need to do a better job next time – as foodies, we failed our Phoenix Raceway food mission!).

Jose Cuervo Stand
This stand had the most variety of foods, with a few extra items that we didn’t see on other menus throughout the track (unless we just missed them!). This entire stand seemed to be catered by Streets of New York (based on looking at their online menus).
Some of the foods here mirrored what was on the Streets of New York menu at the grandstands (like the pizzas and salads), with some extras thrown in the mix like Philly Cheesesteak and Italian beef sandwiches, and loaded fries and mac and cheese bites.
What to Get
- Combo, pepperoni, and cheese pizzas
- Wings
- Garden and antipasto salads
- Cheesesteak sandwich
- Italian beef sandwich
- Loaded fries
- Mozzarella sticks
- Garlic cheese bread
- Mac and cheese bites
- Cookies
- Icee
- Drinks

We opted for a Philly Cheesesteak here and were again disappointed. The bread was dry and stale tasting and while I think the meat had a decent flavor, it was also pretty dry.
Rating: 5/10 (do not recommend)

Mike’s Hard Lemonade
This is the stand in the Infield where you’ll want to get drinks other than beer.
What to Get
- Single/double shot cocktails
- Mike’s Hard Lemonade
- White Claws
- Beers
- NA drinks (sodas/water)

And that’s everything we’ve seen at the Phoenix Raceway so far when it comes to food and drink! Have you eaten at any of the stands we haven’t, or observed foodie spots that we missed?
